Bakery in Shannon, making a vairety of delicios Gluten Free bread such as Walnut Herb and Garlic, Carrot and Fennel, Olive and Rosemary, and Poppy seed. Also available at Victoria Street market (Wellington) on Sunday mornings and Ambrosia Delicatessen, Ridgway Street, Wanganui.

Spudbar was founded in Melbourne in 2000, born out of inspiration by the lack of healthy, beautiful tasting food that was quick, convenient and value for money. Our founder, Clay Thompson and his wife Laura longed for a food outlet that provided nutritious, inexpensive fast food. When nothing could be found the only option available was to create a food concept themselves. Hence the idea for Spudbar!
The Spudbar philosophy is simple. They will never take shortcuts on the quality, freshness and nutritional value of the food they serve you. They are passionate about the future of our planet and the people in it and want to make a difference. Whilst they can’t change the world over night, by providing an honest approach to healthy, convenient food that tastes delicious, they hope to be part of the solution.

Tasty, hearty gluten-free mains (e.g. tomato rice “cake” and salad) and gorgeous dessert option (lemon and coconut slice with yoghurt). Plate-lickers both! Located very near the Domain hot pools, in a sunny renovated villa with beaut views.

Fantastic cafe in central Ohakune, excellent coffee, great service and happy to cater for gluten free customers. Also a few gluten free slices and cakes in their cabinet.
