Spudbar was founded in Melbourne in 2000, born out of inspiration by the lack of healthy, beautiful tasting food that was quick, convenient and value for money. Our founder, Clay Thompson and his wife Laura longed for a food outlet that provided nutritious, inexpensive fast food. When nothing could be found the only option available was to create a food concept themselves. Hence the idea for Spudbar!
The Spudbar philosophy is simple. They will never take shortcuts on the quality, freshness and nutritional value of the food they serve you. They are passionate about the future of our planet and the people in it and want to make a difference. Whilst they can’t change the world over night, by providing an honest approach to healthy, convenient food that tastes delicious, they hope to be part of the solution.
They have 2 great Christchurch stores in Northlands Mall and Palms Shopping Centre (foodcourts). Their staff can guide customers to ensure they order gluten free toppings as they have a list of 30 available. See their website for more details and menu options.

Two Rivers Cafe ›

When we stopped off, they had two kinds of gluten free cakes (brownies, and perfectly light plum friands). Also delicious GF frittata (pumpkin and feta). Can do take away, too. Might pay to call ahead to see if they’ve been baking, and what’s on offer. A really wonderful and unexpected find in what seemed like a small town - cafe is part of an art gallery and sculpture garden. Open 7 days, 9-5.
