Hubbards Gluten Free Cornflakes ›

Just as the description says, light flakes of corn with a hint of apple juice. The recipe is so simple, I’m surprised ‘regular’ cornflakes don’t follow suit. Low on sugar, no artificial sweetners, colours or flavourings. Proudly New Zealand made by a reputable company specialising in breakfast cereals. Also wheat free, dairy free and soy free.

Hubbards Gluten Free Cocoa Puffs ›

Tasty, sweet and crunchy - very similar to infamous kids cereal, Cocoa Pops. These are fantastic, my son who can also eat wheat, didn’t really notice too much of a difference and has been bugging me all day to have them for breakfast again tomorrow. They are also don’t contain any artificial colours or sweetners. Gluten free, wheat free, dairy free and soy free. Another bonus, is that it’s made right here in New Zealand!

To be honest I couldn’t find any redeeming qualities to this biscuit, a week later and there is still half the box left, and that is saying something in this house! Oh actually they are gluten, wheat, and dairy free.

Scotti ‘Pasta Riso’ ›

Quick to cook, cheaper than other alternatives.  Quite a light taste, not dense and gummy like a buckwheat pasta.  All the benefits of rice but in a different shape.

Have made macaroni cheese with it and it was great.

$5 for 3 x 250 gram bags from the Barrow grocery shop in Westfield Downtown (Auckland Central).

Cheap, light and fluffy when cooked up, my husband loves this too, really easy and heaps of recipe alternatives on their website… like the gorgeous corn fritters we had last week.  Can buy online or in supermarkets (New World and Woolworths at least)

Pavillion Gluten Free Bread ›

This loaf has the look of a traditional ‘gluten’ bread. It doesn’t crumble at all, is quite light (not like the usual ‘bricks’) and was actually pretty soft when I opened the packaging. It toasted well and was quite enjoyable, I also think it would be excellent bread to use for french toast, or bread based puddings.

It tastes sensational!!!! you can make it as you would a pizza base then place what you dont need in the freezer and cook later. You can add herbs, more cheeses,Chocolate, dates, apricots,Guava Paste or whatever you like. It is traditionally eaten in Brazil as an appetizer which you stuff with roast Pork,Beef, or chicken. The different ways to prepare it are entirely up to you.
