Sorry Ingrid, I haven’t tried - it didn’t last long enough to freeze any! But I can’t see why it wouldn’t freeze. It might become crumblier I suppose… Let us know if you try it smile

Brilliant recipe!!  I used half n half kefir (cultured milk - similar to yoghurt or buttermilk) and milk in mine this morning and they were AWESOME!  My kids and husband loved them.  I like to add a little sugar (1TBS) to the recipe too.

Thanks!!

Wholegrain Chocolate Slice ›

These are delicious and also full of wholegrains, so a little bit naughty but a little bit good too! I actually made this recipe up the other night when I was making some anzac biscuits for the kids. I thought I’d just change the oats to something else and these biscuits were born. I’m not 100% sure about the cooking time but just keep them in the oven until they look cooked and slightly crunchy (otherwise they may just crumble to pieces). Could also be iced with icing sugar, water and cocoa but personally I found them sweet enough.

Sticky Date Pudding ›

I have just discovered this dessert and it’s absolutely devine. Everyone asked for seconds and no-one realised it was gluten free as it was so soft, airy, and moist. Am looking forward to entertaining again just so I can make it! You could also just make the cake without the sauce and it would still be delicious.

Mmmmmm a delicious way to enjoy spuds, this is very similar to a Julia Child recipe for Potato Gratin. Perfect for entertaining, because you can make them a few hours or even a day ahead of time

Cheese and Pumpkin Scones ›

This recipe is based on Teresa’s excellent Kumara Scones, but came about because I didn’t have all the ingredients and needed to make do. It worked out extremely well but hasn’t been tested again yet.

This is actually a scone recipe – but makes a good pizza base!! And very cost effective. Makes two medium pizza bases – or one super large one.
