Chocolate Hazelnut Spread

This spread is great for bread and toast or fold it into whipped cream and serve with slices of fruit, or meringues for dessert. Yum.


75g Hazelnuts
110g Dark Chocolate
150g Butter
150g Condensed Milk


Toast the hazelnuts by placing them in a metal dish in a moderate oven for around 10 mins, or until they smell çhocolatey. When toasted, remove the skins (they rub off when handfuls of nuts are rubbed together). Chop the nuts very finely in food processor. Then in a double boiler melt the chocolate and butter together gently and add the condensed milk. Combine with the hazelnuts and process until smooth. Store in a jar in the fridge.
