Spicy Roasted Chickpeas

Ingredients
2C Dried Chickpeas
1T Tomato Paste
1T Water
2t Salt
1t Pepper
1t Cayenne Pepper
Method
Rinse chickpeas then leave to soak for 24hrs. Drain, rinse and pat dry. Combine chickpeas with all the other ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Spread chickpeas out onto a large baking tray. Place in the oven at 250oC for 40mins or until chickpeas are well roasted. Stir occasionally whilst cooking. Allow to cool and season as desired.


I use to make a similar thing in Canada.
I used tamari sauce - and sea salt.
