This was a big hit with my family & work mates.  I made it with the frozen raspberries & without, both were yum. Also added a 1/2c of chop chips.

I baked this cake today, it is delicious.  It made a large 28cm cake, baked for 40 minutes at 170oC on fan bake.

recommended nutritionist? ›

Can anyone recommend a nutritionist sympathetic to a low carb/low starch lifestyle?

I’m trying this eating lifestyle as a last resort to treat persistently undiagnosed joint and muscle pain, and I’m wanting professional advice about any vitamins and minerals that I might need to make up for through supplements.

Glutenfeeda Instant Oatmeal ›

A number of breakfast cereals made by a USA company, Glutenfreeda Foods, is available on our supermarket shelves. 0atmeal is considered, at least in New Zealand and Australia, as a grain containing gluten. Glutenfreeda packaging would lead one to believe their product is gluten free, although it does not state this outright. I have noticed very recently that their packaging and comments on it have changed over recent weeks. The company’s name has been removed from the ‘Wheat free - Instant Oatmeal’ advert on the front, along with a message on the packet which emphasised its 100% gluten free processing facility.

Can anyone enlighten me as to the gluten free status of this oatmeal product? Thanks

Warning to Coeliacs ›

Just thought I’d share a couple of cafe tips for those who are extremely sensitive to gluten.

If you are ordering eggs on gluten-free toast at a cafe, make sure you ask them if they toast the gluten-free bread on the same equipment as normal bread.

And if you are buying a gluten-free slice, ask the person serving it if they can please use clean tongs (that haven’t been used to serve gluten-containing food)to place it on your plate.

And if the gluten-free slices are displayed right next to gluten-containing foods, without a protective covering, it may be worth considering the risk of cross-contamination.

Does anyone else have any other tips?
